1. READY SET PREP (JOB READINESS)

This program assists women in resume preparation and basic computer literacy. We also assist in job interview prep, provide information on appropriate attire for interviews and mock interview training. We also assist with informing members of this program with options for transportation to interviews.

2. SOCIAL SERVICES- BY YOUR SIDE (LENDING EAR)

Las Vegas Leading Ladies assists clients with tools to research and locate all possible resources for a safe placement and self-sufficiency.

CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT OR SUPPORT GROUP

Each year, hundreds of women from all walks of life are able to reach out to our social services team to discuss their personal challenges that they have endured. Challenges such as: domestic violence, substance abuse, lack of access to medical or mental health care, immigration challenges, and more. All conversations are confidential. No appointments are necessary

Our staff serve as case manager for these clients providing ongoing support as well as referrals to various community agencies according to the individual needs of the client.

EMPOWERMENT WORKSHOPS

Las Vegas Leading Ladies offer numerous opportunities and workshops for women to improve their lives, and in turn, improve the lives of their family members also. This is done by providing workshops such as: stress management, effective study habits/note taking, financial literacy, and job development just to name a few.

Additional workshops/support groups the we facilitate are:

Making HERstory –Goal setting and Self Care

From Surviving to Striving –Domestic violence and life altering illnesses support groups

Financial Literacy –Budget development, credit repair resources, business development, business credit education, Home Ownership Preparedness

*24hr Hotline available with a confidential and professional Lending Ear Social Services Staff (or case manager) to be of support during times of despair.

Las Vegas Leading Ladies hosts numerous events throughout the year that are open to the community such as:

3. EDUCATION

We work in partnership with a Nevada State Program that allows women to receive assistance with the cost of GED courses.

Women within this program have the ability to utilize computers located within the office to complete any tasks needed and learn new computer skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Community Volunteers support in-class instruction and open lab sessions (Lab as in computer lab)

We currently offer certification classes to assist women who are interested in a wellness career path to become a Yoni Steam (V-Steam) Practitioner with “hands on” training sessions.

4. VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Women who are seeking to volunteer their time to change the lives of other women by helping to break the cycle of poverty through compassionate programs designed to feed, clothe, educate, and empower women are welcome to volunteer with LVLL.

5. GIVE & TAKE (COMMUNITY SERVICE)

Women who are seeking to meet community service hours can do so with our Give and Take program. In this program we will locate and create, in accordance to our ability, community service opportunities for women. The goal of our Give & Take program is to help transform women as they pay back society.
